A great weekend and the power of no

Morgan had a great weekend. Mine was awesome too (especially since I finish HP in 2 1/2 hours) but his was really good. Saturday, he spend a ton of time outside. He has finally mastered the concept of no and enjoys saying it for everything. I know you all know this already but he was much more focused on the word yes first. So this weekend was a study of Mo no's. It was funny this morning when he woke up at 6:30 because after crying and calling for Mommy (who was having a very hard time getting up), he just lay there in his crib and was saying, "no, no, no." He spend a lot of time with Evan this weekend, we went to the park yesterday and had dinner at their house today. I think they are so lucky to live so close together and have parents who are such great friends. He is in love with the song "if you're happy and you know it..."

have we started the terrible twos?

I have been wondering a lot if we are in for it now. Mo is hard (impossible) to control sometimes. Don't get me wrong-I enjoy him every day. You can see him learning and making connections and his attention span is getting longer and longer. But everything seems like a struggle, eating breakfast, taking a walk or nap. He knows what he wants and knows when he doesn't get it. Example, in the hour he was up before day care this morning, he had 3 tantrums, went from eating oatmeal on daddy's lap to sharing mommy's cereal and was crying as I pulled away. Hopefully, I can get a hug this afternoon and make it all better. :)
